Our newest Artists Upstairs:
Joan Webb is a fiber artist who resides in Greenfield, IN. Joan has dabbled in various art forms but fiber art has been a constant throughout her life. After raising three children she decided to pursue her artistic interests that had been put on hold. Joan has dabbled in both acrylic and watercolor painting as well drawing, but her favorite art medium is fiber art in the form of art quilts. Most of her creations also utilize fabric she has either painted or hand dyed for use in her work. Sometimes the fabric is dyed or painted with a particular idea in mind, and other times the fabric inspires the creation.
Jim is a woodcarver specializing in walking sticks and whimsical tree houses carved from cottonwood bark from Alaska and Canada. Jim started carving a few years before retiring from the Indianapolis Fire Dept. after 33 years of service. Since his retirement, he has devoted more time to his art. Together Jim and Joan make up the team—Stitches and Sticks.
